The combination of terrific neighborhoods and an extremely convenient location encourages many homebuyers who are looking for a luxury home to choose northwest Dallas County as the area in which they buy. From either Coppell or Irving, it is less than 10 miles to DFW International Airport and the Los Colinas business center, and less than 20 miles to the north Dallas business center and downtown Dallas.
Two distinct flavors of luxury neighborhoods have been developed in northwest Dallas County. In Coppell, luxury home neighborhoods are not concentrated in any particular part of the town; they are relatively small, containing less than 100 homes; and there is no restriction on neighborhood access. In Irving, luxury home neighborhoods generally are clustered around the Four Seasons Resort and Club, contain 100 or more homes, and have gated neighborhood access.
Recently sold pre-owned northwest Dallas County luxury homes costing $500,000 and up have sold for an average $154.50 per square foot and on average were 12.5 years old. Newly constructed luxury homes have been selling for an average of $187.00 per square foot.
