Performance ratings for the public schools that serve Coppell and Irving luxury home neighborhoods are rather uneven, ranging from quite good for the Coppell schools to something much less impressive for schools in Irving. However, despite this seemingly obvious market opportunity, few private schools have located their campuses in northwest Dallas County.
Northwest Dallas County public schools
One fairly straightforward measurement of a school's performance is how students attending it perform on the annual Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) tests. As shown in the campus profiles that are available by clicking on the links below, recent Coppell ISD TAKS scores are significantly higher than state averages. On the other hand, TAKS scores for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and Irving ISD schools, which serve luxury home neighborhoods in Irving, range from somewhat better than state averages to near or slightly below state averages.
