The Arlington Independent School District currently operates fifty-one elementary schools, thirteen junior high schools, six high schools and five alternative schools. These 74 schools are attended by approximately 63,400 students who live in Arlington, Grand Prairie and Pantego.
For the 2006-2007 school year, Arlington ISD was rated as academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). One of its campuses received an exemplary rating, four received recognized ratings, fifty-five received academically acceptable ratings and five were not rated. The percentage of Arlington ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was near the average of all Texas schools.
Three Arlington ISD schools are attended by students living in the luxury home neighborhoods profiled on this web site. As shown below, all three of these campuses were rated academically acceptable by the TEA based on their 2006-2007 school year performances.
