 The Lovejoy Independent School District currently operates three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. These five schools are attended by approximately 2,000 students who live in Allen, Fairview, Lucas, and Wylie.
For the 2006-2007 school year, Lovejoy ISD was rated exemplary by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), one of only nineteen school districts in the state to receive this rating. All four of the campuses that were evaluated received exemplary ratings. The percentage of Lovejoy ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was among the highest in the Texas.
