The Northwest Independent School District currently operates fourteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two high schools and one special programs center. These twenty-one schools are attended by approximately 12,000 students who live in Aurora, Flower Mound, Fort Worth, Haslet, Justin, Keller, Newmark, Rhome, Roanoke, Southlake, and Trophy Club.
For the 2010-2011 school year, Northwest ISD was rated recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Five of its campuses received exemplary ratings, fourteen received recognized ratings, one received an academically acceptable rating and one was not rated. The percentage of Northwest ISD students passing the 2009-2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
Three Northwest ISD schools are attended by students living in the luxury home neighborhoods profiled on this web site. As shown below, two of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on its 2010-2011 school year performance, and one received a recognized rating.
