 The Carroll Independent School District currently operates five elementary schools, three intermediate schools, two middle schools and two high schools. These eleven schools are attended by approximately 8,000 students who live in Southlake, Grapevine, and Westlake.
For the 2009-2010 school year, Carroll ISD was rated exemplary by the Texas Education Agency and was one of only three DFW area school districts where both the district and all its campuses received exemplary ratings by meeting without exception all of the TEA's rating guidelines. The percentage of Carroll ISD students passing the 2009-2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was among the highest in the Texas.
