Many students living in southwest Collin / southeast Denton Counties luxury home neighborhoods attend public schools that are considered among the best in the metroplex. The quality of these schools has likely had the effect of limiting, at least to some extent, the number of private schools choosing to locate campuses in the southwest Collin / southeast Denton Counties area.

Students living in Plano luxury home neighborhoods attend Plano ISD and Lewisville ISD schools. The percentage of students who pass the annual Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) at all of these is significantly higher than state averages. This too is the case with Frisco ISD schools, which along with Lewisville ISD, serve Frisco luxury home neighborhoods; and with McKinney ISD schools that serve McKinney luxury home communities. The Lovejoy ISD schools that serve Fairview luxury home communities rank among the best in the state.
